Swiss Alpine Emotion is proud to have Bernard Crettaz as its patron. Bernard is a sociologist and ethnologist, a writer, a story teller and above all one of the best known figure in Switzerland and in the Val d'Anniviers where he chose to live.
Bernard was born in 1938. He led the Geneva ethnology museum for over 20 years and taught sociology at the University of Geneva. An author of may books and essais on the rural communities and their traditions, he never stops researching our origins and studies rural communities, popular religions, legends and tales, death rituals. His favourite topics are the Swiss identity and the alpine myths.
